What is an explosive atmosphere?
It is the mixture of oxygen (air) with flammable substances (gases, steams, dust or fibers), in which an ignition source (spark or hot surface) can cause an explosion. For the explosive atmosphere to form, it is necessary that the elements of this mixture are in adequate proportions.

Places where explosive atmospheres may be formed due to the presence of flammable substances.
The classification evaluates the properties of flammable substances, equipment features, ventilation and environment temperature, among other factors.
